Okay, so when you get older I guess you have the time to think more about weather and other things that young people don’t even consider. I watched the kids throw snowballs at one another in temperatures that made me shudder — and I wasn’t even outside. But, today — according to the weather report — we are going to see the temperature rise above 50! Now, that is something to be thankful for.
The snow is a memory. The ice has dissolved. And, I took Boo for a long walk this morning. I may take the fern for a walk this afternoon. Well, actually maybe not a real walk, but it can spend a couple of hours in the direct sunlight.
As for Oliver, your guess is as good as mine. I think he went for a walk-about yesterday and I haven’t seen any signs of the orange thing this morning. I guess I should not worry. He’s kind of like a bad penny. He shows up when you least expect him.
It’s a great day to get outside and work on the portable greenhouse — or put it back in the shed and walk down the hill to the big greenhouse. I’m wondering if I have started showing those signs of getting old. When I was younger I would not have been whipped by something as simple as a little greenhouse, but today — well, today is too pretty to spend it fighting with a sagging something that won’t stand upright. Oh, my! I’m wondering if I am actually talking about the greenhouse or myself.
Well, the day is going to be a beauty and my mother-in-law just pointed out a cobweb in the corner. The cobweb will have to wait. It will be there tomorrow, for sure. Today I am going to spend the day outside — as much as possible and enjoy the warmth of the sun. Hopefully, that chipmunk or whatever that thing is that looked at his shadow at the beginning of the month just has vision problems. I am ready for spring. And, today I am thankful for a warm day.
