Well, this has been one heck of a great weekend, except for all the talk coming from Washington. But, aside from that the Tennessee Titans won their fourth game of the season. The Tennessee Volunteers lost their third, leaving them with a record of 1-3. I like the Titans. I don’t care for the Volunteers.
Three new solar panels have been completed and are ready for final installations. The community garden is progressing nicely. The greenhouse at the foot of the ridge is almost ready for the finishing touches. The kids have been busy and the old folks are worn out. So, all in all it has been a great weekend.
And, by the way… the little “over the edge” mother from down the street finally let her shadow been seen in my backyard as she walked down with her ten and twelve year olds this morning to see what is really going on here. I suppose she was somewhat relieved to see that none of us “old folks” are perverts or pedophiles. Of course, if we had been shameful characters she was about two months late in checking us out. She apologized for her “irratic” behavior a few days ago. I accepted her apology on behalf of the neighborhood, but I have to admit that she still seems a little frayed around the edges. Time will tell.
Now, on to a few more exciting adventures I hope. It seems that within a few weeks we should have the building activities completed and will be getting the greenhouses up and running. Happy will be happy, for sure. In the meantime, I’m looking for a few days of rest.
So, on this nice warm Sunday afternoon, I’m going to leave the clean up to those in the yard and I’m going to take a nap.
